Description
Unlike Disney’s popular FROZEN, this new play more closely follows the original Andersen fairy tale. Gerda and Kay are happy sisters until Kay, falls victim to a broken magic mirror and mischievous Snow Sprites. Kay is taken by the Snow Queen, and Gerda begins a long journey to find her sister. Along the way she makes many friends including a mysterious girl in the forest, a wandering knight, a royal princess, and a feisty robber maiden and her gang of thieves. After encountering the mighty Snow Queen, Gerda discovers her own powerful magic.

Tacoma Youth Theatre is dedicated to creating high-quality theatre entirely produced by young artists.

The Blue Muse Roots Jam will meet monthly at the Moore Library on Saturdays, 12:30 - 5:30 p.m. If you've been looking for the opportunity to meet and play with other musicians, this is it. No charge, no tricks or gimmicks, just bring your instrument, and your interest. All skill levels are welcome and all instruments (guitar, harp, mandolin, banjo, fiddle, bass, etc.) If you don't play but love music, you're welcome too. We'll all have a foot stomping good time. Last day to report books, graphic novels, or magazines you have read is Saturday, August 9th at 5:30 p.m.
The zoo party takes place on Saturday, August 16th.
The last day to pick up prizes is Saturday August 23rd.

The first day to report on what you’ve read is Saturday, June 14th.

Read and report on 10 books by 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 9th to be entered into the Grand Prize Drawing for a chance to win one of two new iPads.

There are two ways to keep track of and report on your books:

You can use this log to record the name and author of each book you’ve read. Have a parent or caregiver initial your log for each book that you read. Bring the log with you and report your reading at the Summer Reading Reporting Station the next time you visit your local Tacoma Public Library.
OR you can record your reading online through Tacoma Public Library’s Summer

Each week that you report online or in the library, you will be entered into a weekly raffle
for fun prizes, including tickets to a Tacoma Rainiers baseball game, passes to Northwest Trek,
and tickets to the Puyallup Fair.

Once you have finished reading and reporting on your first 10 books, for every additional
10 books you read and report on you will be entered again into the Grand Prize

Drawing for a chance to win one of two new iPads.

Everyone who completes the program will receive a tote bag, a magnetic photo frame, two free games of bowling at Narrows Plaza Bowl and a ticket for two to the Summer Reading Celebration on Saturday, August 16th at the Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium.

The last day to report (in person or online) is Saturday, August 9th at 5:30 p.m.

The last day to pick up prizes is Saturday, August 23rd. Participant must be
present to pick up prizes. Prizes will be available while supplies last.

Books should be at your appropriate reading level. Graphic novels, magazines, audio books, and ebooks count!

Fizz, Boom, Read is for children from birth through entering 5th Grade.
